Kerplunk!

Day two back on the felt was very unsatisfying for me.

8:30pm-11:45pm @ the MGM - $200 Buy-in $1/2 NLHE - Profit: $200

What an uneventful painful night for me. I play for barely over 3 hours and only was in one $60 profit hand all night and the rest of the hands I just missed everything. All my draws, all my continuation bets were called, and I didnt even get to bluff. Yep! That bad of a card dead night. Couple good players at my table tonight but they had no effect on me except one guy limped with AA once when I then raised preflop after and he then reraised so I lost $12 preflop. Nothing major happened just couldnt get the ball rolling tonight. I should have asked for a table change because it was just dreadful.

Hands of the night:

Hand 1: I am holding TcTd and I straddled. All limp to me and I make it $20 total to go. One caller, a very aggressive but good player. Flop is Th7c3d. I bet out $20 just to mislead what I am holding. He raised me to $65 and I only have about another $65 after I would call the bet. So I shove hoping he is committed with some rubbish. He folds. Unsure if I should have just called the dumb bet since there were only weird straight draws out there. I pushed because he was playing hands like 54 and 56 all night. In hind sight, I wish I just called.

Hand 2: JsTs is what I am holding. This hand I started with $43 left total. I am the button so raise to $9 trying to get a pot bigger than my remaining stack and I got 3 callers. Flop 7c9s4d. A girl to my right bets $9 out and I just shove my remaining little stack in hoping to out run a pair of 9s. She then flips over pocket 4s, oye vey. Turn is a painfully exciting Qh giving me more outs and then the brick 9c on the river. Good night! Didn't rebuy tonight because it was just so painful for those 3 hours I was ready to go. I told myself if I got back to $200 I woulda left also.

Sometimes the cards are with you and sometimes they just never come. Thats poker. I'll start my 4 day a week sessions starting next week.

Good luck on the felt,
JB
